Heart-led intelligence will beat greed-fuelled intelligence every time. For the greedy will stop when to continue fails to serve their own limited interests, yet the heart-led acts on behalf of all and thus is braver in the face of personal danger. Thus everyone whom is truly heart-led, who loves without frontiers, has access to true bravery, nobility and the ancient intuition for what love is and is not. And thus with the resurrection of love as the "supreme first principle," a future for a humane humanity is assured.
Intellectualism is a form of power that must always be at the loving service of humanity, in service of the masses. The pen is mighty for it forms thoughts and ideology, it forms who we are and how we show up as a species. Thus when we channel our passions via our empathy, our deepest sense of love, we use our individual gifts for others. It is then the ego steps aside and lets true greatness enter. The difference is that between a gun used to murder and one used to save a community from monsters. When you are born with a power your commitment to do good must be total, you must "use the force" as a Jedi would.
I'm good, I am, I feel it right into my bones that I've got more than it takes to make it. The reason I don't go for it is that the people running the show right now are so very stupid. If I get there, if I do this, will they have the good sense to listen or will they fail to fight their feelings of envy and fear? The truth is, high intelligence is so welcome at first, when folks see the great advantage to being given answers they otherwise have to work for; everyone enjoys a gift. But what then of the jealous hearts and the power mongers, what of them? What when the gifts are received and they want the "podium" all to themselves? I can rock this, I can take it home and then some... but you need a bit more self control and then maybe I'll do it. Because I'm gonna need sometime to fix this mess, not an all access pass for a weekend, month or even a year... you're gonna need me as long as I live and that's a fact. So, yeah, I'm confident in me, I suppose what I am saying is... I need to be confident in you.
The apple's skin sits smoothly next to my own, a promise of the sweetness within. In this noon-light it is as bright as it ever is, the earthy-hued stalk curling softly into the light. It occurs to me in a fleeting thought, that if the apple exists without consciousness, then a tree falling in the forest does make a sound, that the two ideas are quite unrelated as science would suggest - otherwise the apple would need to be thinking in some way and, wow, that would be so gross.
Take the great intelligent works and admire them for their beauty, for the prose and the poise, for the working of a great mind. Yet distill their language to that of children and examine the concept, the naked idea - for therein rests true intelligence. And if a work cannot be said so, then it is incomplete, or perhaps a path to an answer not yet found, and it is to be admired as such; for we do not applaud the arriving as much as the willingness to walk.
"Darwin, you are the smartest kid I know and you haven't passed a single exam. You are intelligent beyond what this system we call education can cope with and you're not alone." Darwin glanced at the professor sideways, just enough to show he was listening, not so much as to look like he cared. The professor went on.
"The high intelligence kids all bomb out of the system. It's too boring, too repetitive, it's like a cage instead of a platform. And, Darwin, it's been going on since the industrial revolution. Intelligence isn't going up to the leadership, it's going down the grass roots of society. It was once spread evenly among the classes, but the balance has shifted - we're looking at a revolution but we need social evolution and for that we need kids like you." Darwin turned to go. "Intelligence is creativity, not knowledge, don't let them make you feel stupid because you talk like the streets. University degrees are like falling on the dirt and getting up with muddy pants, something sticks but most falls away. They are more transformative than informative and - let's face it - information is cheap in today's world. But kid, you are the real deal, I can't get another one of you. Come study with me... just think about it, okay?"
If "intelligence = creativity" as Einstein said, what is an I.Q. score? How can a number be put on someone's creativity? Shall we start grading each other's dreams and thoughts next? Who wants an F- in visualization? Or maybe we can finally admit that it was a divisive and unfair test made up by elitists a long time ago. I'm not saying we can't gauge aptitude for certain abilities, and that can be useful to provide the best education for each child, but it can't test "intelligence," let's get that right.
"The subconscious mind, our magical land of dreams, has been missing the memo about negation in speech and written language. What the conscious mind reads as positive, the subconscious receives as negative and vice versa when negation is used, and so the carousel of confusion continues. If you want true intelligence, talk to your subconscious and that of others with positive phrasing and positive metaphors and watch your intelligence climb to new heights; watch the shackles of fear break; grow the paws of the lion you were born to be; learn to roar."
