ghost behaviour - quotes and descriptions to inspire creative writing
The ghost was frozen in place, only the movement of it's transparent hair gave away that it was not some brilliant halloween decoration. It stared with wide eyes, it's face passive and slack. After a moment of indecision I took a half step backward and turned to go. The door slammed shut and although the daylight still shone on the window it did not penetrate the glass. The clock ceased to tick. There was no sound from the outside world, not a bird or engine noise. Then air was rent with a scream that was so piercing I collapsed to the floor in the fetal position, my hands clamped over my ears...not that it made any difference. The air became cold and my body heat quickly deserted my blood for the frigid atmosphere. An awareness crept over me that I was no longer in contact with the ground but instead spinning. Once I opened my eyes the room was no longer there, instead there was only the ghost's face and open mouth that had become magnified. In utter paralysis I was drawn towards it.
Ghoul, phantom, poltergeist, throws things around the room, writes strange rune symbols on dusty mirror, lonely, mischievous, malevolent, cheeky, friendly, scheming, callous, comic, plays pranks, sudden eerie laughter, disappears into thin air, blood-curdling screams, creates hallucinations, makes walls shake, appears suddenly, possesses objects or people, juggles head, sulks, passes through people on purpose, haunts places and objects, lurks.
