Hillbilly! There was that word again. Spewed at him from the mouth of a small girl this time. Where did she even learn that word? He was no hillbilly. He was a country boy, raised on a farm and knew more about hard work than this young child would ever know in her lifetime. He knew how to farm, how to tend the animals, how to slaughter a pig and prepare it for his friends. He knew how to work hard and how to play hard. Southern Illinois living had left him with a slow drawl that made the ladies smile yet this girl had the nerve to throw that word at him as if it defined who he was. Hillbilly. Indeed.
