    New Year
    - Creative Writing to Inspire -

New Years are breaths of light, the time of resolutions to do what's right. The sky as a patient antique mirror, as a memory of storms and ease, listens with its starlight threads. Coolness becomes a clarity, self-reflection becomes self-charity, opening future roads to better days and more benevolent ways.

    New Year

Wishes upon New Year's Eve are as the glowing fireflies, wings and hearts a-beating. Into the cool air, amid the starlight and moon-so-bright, they flutter as visible dreams. Freely, they dance. In liberty, they roam. Instead of the flash of the fireworks so loud, so much brighter, they are a genteel kind of presence. And so the wishes enter the ether this way: living flashes of bonhomie, of heartfelt serenity.

    New Year

    --- Descriptionari.com ---

New Year arrives as a hush-a-bye cheer, as hearth-light calling loved ones near. Bonhomie sails in on aromas, of baking cookies and Christmas leftovers. The stars lit above, future roads woven with love, storms of far away horizons  melting  as spring-snow. This is what resolutions are for, to quietly ask the soul to do more, to find the most loving open door.

This New Year's Eve, in this constellation crowd, you are my north star.

This New Year's Eve I see the coming year as a netting of fine pathways, of white silk in the moonlight. I get to choose each step, each choice is my own. Whatever comes, I'm ready. I am.

The New Year awaits at midnight, as a coachman who takes Cinderella home.

New Year's Eve comes as a firework: bright, joyful and passing. Yet it gives me a moment to dream as those fireworks do, making their own statement amid the stars.

On New Year's Eve I reflect. I take a moment to acknowledge my achievements and see how far I've come in just twelve months. I see the emotional progress, the focusing on the relationships that really matter to me. I see my efforts to make this world a better place. I dwell on the positive thoughts, let them soak in a little deeper, then take a deep and relaxing breath. The New Year can come. Then I start over, building a new layer upon the foundational achievements that came before.
