    A Warm Winter

So mild was that winter, wild only in warmth, that rivers ran ice-free, flowing easy. No hibernation elation spread as giggle giga-watts. Elderly butterflies declared The Frost Monster a myth-plot. No bitter bite nibbled the woodland bark. Autumn leaves still blushed on each earthen path. Gentility was given in a generous dose, and all for the sake of the wildest rose.

Winter rolled easy with hills of warm green. Birds kept autumn tones on auto ‘til Spring’s starting line. The cold weather flashed VIP pass as wildlife snuggled in ambient grass. Mild aromas married to the gentle air, weaving in light-threads of care-shine.

Winter hammock-snoozed for three months long all, springshine and petal-covers snuggled. It dreamed up landscapes so warm-mild with nature happy-wild, even its snores were birdsong. Sweet scents it sleep-talked, icy-ire grumbles fell to nought, and the blizzards were a snow-go. As the days line-danced in step, each one as lovely as the next, the autumn-spring developed a new confidence. Come the end of its tenure the season slept on, sensing a rising spring sun.

That winter married wonder to woe, quiet dips, soft-light nips. Rain clung and cooled. Puddles came and went. The mild mannered breeze kept its gentleman ease, with aromas bounced along so bonny! Three months passed as a mosaic of fall-spring, what a ‘fing,’ to happen. For it had no ice fangs, no thunderous bangs, just a casual saunter-cruise so easy-peasy.
