    A Cold Winter
    - Creative Writing to Inspire -

    --- Descriptionari.com ---

Glacial clouds coast a wintry sky, where cold air meets colder and cruises higher. Breath rises as a woolen hot air balloon, expanding as it absorbs the aerial view. Sunlight comes core-warm to glow up frozen mist, mist that waves-tidal in serenity bliss. Each twig wears a white cloak, buds as tight as can be. Autumn’s bounty below curls as white moss, yet my childish spirit sees a host of blonde hedgehogs. The wind flows as languid ice-water, silently deafening as numbness sets deep.

    A Cold Winter

    --- Descriptionari.com ---

Evergreen trees stand resolute in crystalline cloaks, deep rooted beneath the white dunes of sunlight smoke. For cold as it is, at times rays strike long and warm, and even the midwinter chill bows to our star’s sublimation. As ribbons of cloud, upward water vapor curls, adorning a clear blue sky. With them my thoughts stretch and unfurl, languid and lazy, to wander the snow-scape. Again my eyes follow the rolling dunes, grooves on a landscape as a wending fingerprint. This freeze settled in several weeks ago, and for a while yet this valley will belong to the snow.

    A Cold Winter

    --- Descriptionari.com ---

An ice-sheet sky mirrors an arctic wasteland. The blizzard drove out all sense of wonder with its slicing backhand. This snow pack is deeper than there’s ever been, for time out of mind such a scene hasn’t been possible. Yet the wind changed direction and in it came, round after round stacking snow and ice as a cruel game. How the wind howls, whipping up the powder, as if its calligraphy loops could sing notes for warm hearts. Somewhere under there the grass lives on, in its dense igloo until spring melts come.
