In those wintry months condensation was my favourite toy; cold glass meet warm moist air - the never-ending etcher-sketch.

Those clouds, Nana would say, are more as we are than most think. When the water feels warm it rises, when it feels cold it condenses into those tear-like drops. So that is why, I feel, that we are called on to become more as the sun, to warm each other and help one another rise.

It is only natural to cry when we feel cold. Look up to the clouds, Jethro, they do it too. When they feel cold the water molecules lose energy and condense into droplets. Don't those droplets water the land? Don't they bring us healthy plants and food? Crying, my boy, is the same. It puts you in touch with all the goodness inside of you. That is why God loves the sound of a broken heart. He would have spared you the pain if He could, but if you cry you at least stay human. Clouds don't bottle it up, son, and neither should you. A little inner condensation every now and then should be encouraged.

It was a day for condensation, condensation in the clouds above and in the creative writings that poured from my fingertips. Isn't it that way with song lyrics and poems? They can be read in so many ways and all of them are true from some perspective or other.

The clouds were the kind of grey that would make any quarry rock proud, as if they were so pleased to echo the earth. All the grey, all that swirling water in the sky, condensation was bound to happen sooner rather than later.
