It's hard to write about the delivery room, that place of more pain than you could ever imagine was possible without death, that place of more joy than you could ever imagine was possible when you hold your baby. My labours were quick and painful, strong contractions, pain that apparently had no maximum. If I hadn't been sure that it would end I would have rather been shot. At the end, hours of experience become a few minutes in the memories. The brain does not hold onto pain of that kind, it edits it out. So, after, you can enjoy the best parts of the experience and forget the rest. A birth, after all, is a grand new start, a new sacred gift of heaven, a reason to rejoice.
