"You can't save someone from their destiny, from what they were created for; what you can do is make it easier for them, bring more joy, less pain. You can walk some of their path with them, you can protect them from the demons who would end their mission too soon. So, above all, be a friend, be kind, and love all the stronger when it hurts to do so... for in those moments is the measure of who you truly are, the key to your own mission, the answer to who you are and whom you serve."

Though I could not ever say,
I guess my own soul knew,
Yet kept its secret from myself,
For my own good sake,
To garner the kind of shelter,
Illusion though it was,
That I had an umbrella,
In coldest rain.
For in that dreamy state,
It could render the handle a wand,
Create an entire house,
A home with hearth and fire warm,
Conjure sweetness from indifference,
Both mirage and oasis,
A dual sense of reality,
Fashioned for survival,
And therein I was trained,
For this destiny,
By a universe that did it's best,
To love and to care,
In a broken world,
Such as ours,
And here is my truth,
My God answered,
Stayed,
Did what was possible,
And taught me better,
Than any other could.
