She was my sister in a way, though really we were friends, souls the universe saw fit to put together. I guess I became her guard, her eyes, her protector when the epilepsy came. She needed that. I guess we all do at different times in different ways, but when she couldn't take care of herself I was there to keep her safe.

I think the epilepsy scared him, though he never said. But he knew I was always there as his guardian angel, forever able to take over when he needed care.
