Imperfections are the rocket fuel of social and biological evolution; it's all sacred variation and we need to become smart enough to see that.

Stories and culture alter brain development via neuroplasticity and are thus part of human evolution along with our genes.

Our inheritance is the genetic variation which evolution acts upon to develop creation - most sensible adults save up rather than squander such wealth.

Millions of years of evolution to what we are now is a history of murder and disease. The original groups to evolve out of Africa were "replaced" by modern humans. Everywhere we spread large mammals and other animals became very rapidly extinct. Recent colonisation involved the mass murder and enslaving of other humans. The start of the industrial revolution involved the mass starvation and working to death (slavery) of the "working class." Yet in all this, in our family groups our biggest evolutionary advantage was our ability to love and have emotional and social intelligence. We now know what environments turn on our higher social abilities and which environments make us the primitive version that causes all the problems, including pollution and environmental damage. It's time to act on that information and consciously bring social evolution.

Darwin, from an "all against all" genocidal Victorian society, missed the obvious; humans are only naturally in that situation of intense competition when society has been atomised. We did not evolve as monads. We evolved in groups in which social intelligence was paramount, as such, we must learn to love, to embrace positive social evolution.

If you can imagine a computer scientist who makes a virtual reality world, both with algorithms to guide the development of the new lifeforms, yet also remains present and deeply involved, loving and doing the most possible to bring a happy and healthy world of love and joy... then you can imagine evolution and creation as one unified theory.

If evolution weren't meaningful, our reality would be meaningless. Even being created by God, we need what we observe and understand by science to have bearing on the natural world we live in. We need to grow and develop. For the first time in the history of the world we are gaining control over our own evolution, and the question remains as to whether we will choose to make a world where nice people finish first, where love and kindness are priorities, or continue to let the greedy prosper with bank accounts in the billions and trillions.

When the answers finally came we were told that evolutionary scientists and the creationists both were correct in their own way, and both wrong too. Evolution is a fact, that much is obvious. We have DNA evidence, the fossil record, much intelligent science to back it up. But what the scientists can't see, can't test or measure, is the unseen influence of God.

We've had in our culture for a long time the idea of "matches made in heaven." And not always, but sometimes, it's true. Animals particularly can be guided by the Divine. So no, He didn't make the world in seven days or form mountains with His hands. To understand how things work you do need to study science and let the myths just be the beautiful stories they are.

So we kept the best parts of our cultures in tact, let go of ideas that were harmful and opened our minds to learning at the same time - vowing to not get stuck under the intellectual ceilings of previous times.

Peoples in western societies, for hundreds of years, with dirty and cramped cities were selected more for disease resistance than intelligence, and the aristocracy maintained control by force of weaponry. For the tens of thousands of years before that they were much the same as other tribal societies, with the primary selective force being for social and emotional intelligence. Societies that remained tribal were too sparse for diseases to manifest and their primary selective force remained as social and emotional intelligence; thus though they were decimated by disease and genocide, their intelligence could easily be greater than in the industrialised nations. IQ tests are actually quite stupid when you take apart what they are and look that the impact of the environment in which a child was raised and how that has the greatest impact on brain development over the genetic potential. We can add to that some basic observations, that a polluted world, an ocean filling up with plastic, is hardly a sign of real intelligence. It more indicates that a lack of emotional intelligence and reliance on weaponry is core to our issues.

Only in a society of great diversity, where there are people who feel secure in specialising in unique abilities, can new heroes arise in relation to a wide variety of changes in the environment; evolution can only function well when there is such diversity. As such, a diverse and cooperative society will suffer less during periods of adversity and recover faster. A "monoculture" of educational outcomes is thus more vulnerable in challenging times. To unexpected problems will arise unexpected solutions from unexpected heroes whom had talents that were previously less useful.
