hot and steamy, molten rock, spews out of erupting volcano, on touch and you will be severely burnt.

The rock flowed, not like a river, but like molasses. The top ruffled and where it cracked the red showed through; not a friendly red, but threatening and hellish. The heat that radiated from it scorched the skin on my face and I felt as if the flesh beneath was starting to cook. The hot air filled my lungs, baking out the moisture, making breathing painful. There was no way we'd escape the magma, whilst it was slower than water, it was relentless.
