The 'spreading wild oats' vs the 'present father' strategies in human breeding have various champions; yet in the world of entertainment we see pornography vs regular movies squaring off against each other. Pornography is all about the male 'wild oats' fantasy of breeding with multiple prime females. Romantic movies are the opposite, all about pair bonding and staying together as sexual partners and friends. In a world addicted to pornography, for this reason alone, we would expect to see the erosion of respect for women and their rights. Role modelling and storytelling has been the most powerful way to shape human society since forever... we should respect that and ask ourselves what kind of society we are building together.

Pornography is emotionally cold and consumptive, love is emotionally warm and supportive - they are opposites and we can have one or the other.

Pornography has created cultures that consume women, who treat their images as entitlements, as a form of public property. This is even worse than the concept of a woman as the "property of a man," this is woman as "property of commercialism." Women's rights in this age of sexual imagery for sale and consumption, of pornography to control and shame women, have gone into reverse gear. It is little wonder that many women are losing faith in men. Thus we need a movement for chivalry led by men, because this is the antidote to patriarchy. Support and protection is the opposite of exploitation. In this environment society can heal women and men. What other world do our children deserve to inherit?

Pornography distorts natural human relationships and thus disrupts the natural bonding process that keeps pairs together longterm. We are supposed to cherish one another and learn together, not consume strangers and approach physical love as if it were a porno scene.

As with chemical reactions, a "catalyst" speeds up reactions by lowering the activation energy required. Pornography does this in the brain. Once the ideas are experienced, especially without any possible objections by the one who is the object of the sexual lust, it requires less mental energy to regenerate these ideas and less mental energy to move toward acting them out in society. Thus pornography is a societal problem for everyone, it is a catalyst that speeds up the rate of social harm. This social harm is long lasting and challenging to reverse.
