Polly would never discard her excess sourdough starter, yet fried it up as a sort of leavened pancake and ate it either savoury or sweet depending on what brought her joy in the moment.

Angel kept her sourdough starter as if it were her pet, she had after all started it with only flour and water. After watching a few videos on YouTube she'd becomes something of a master baker, and the results, well, they were seriously yum.

The sourdough had a crusty top, a chewy middle and plenty of holes to bring it a perfect bounce to the touch. And the taste? The taste was crazy good!

In the early daylight she fed her starter dough and mixed the flour, salt and water, letting it rest to form those wonderful gluten strands. By the maturing rays of noontime she was mixing the starter dough in, stretching and folding it over as happy as a toddler let loose with play-dough.
