Bicycle kissed tarmac road of youthful soul and poetic spin, of bonny greys lit by sun and rested by ever-morphing cloud, remain ever in my dreaming eye to link the holy and the sin in upward educative spin.

Upon the sun mellowed blacktop, upon our tarmac road, are wizened crevices inked into deeper hue by the seasonal rains. As scars upon the skin, as markers of age and time, they tell the story of how these once new homes matured into a community of heart and soul.

Why is that we chose to design the streets of city and town, so that the travelling of children and families was arranged around the needs of cars? Are these tarmac roads designed with safety and health in mind or simply from the perspective of the car driving and influential voter? Is that social responsibility -parents needing to walk toddlers next to zooming tonnes of metal be they belching fumes or electric?
