The wolf's claws that had never been clipped in a boutique like some city dog. They were trimmed with the constant daily exertion over the rocky hills; filed perfectly. Their constant growth was necessary to offset their wear and tear and the scraping kept them sharp enough to be useful when taking down prey or digging a den for the pups.
