Christmas holidays are a time of love, and so for some that makes them so very challenging. Yet we can gather our strength to start anew, to treat the season as a blank page we can write whatever new "traditions" bring us real joy.

This Christmas holiday we are at home and hearth, together in our village, together in our community. There is something special about being home in the holidays, of seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary. I guess we have this special time to slow down and savour having both feet in the present moment and place, cherishing each other.

This Christmas holiday season all I want is home and those I love. We'll dip gingerbread men into thick melted chocolate and simply be together. For me, that humble centred feeling that what matters is each other... that's what I need.

The stores can keep the perfume and the cold things that glitter, this holiday season we embrace all that is warm and homemade.

These Christmas holidays can be a beautiful thing, a time of soulful reflection and how best to act in the ways of love. Let the browns and hues of nature take over from the bling as we meditate on our empathic selves.

We humans make our festivals, so whatever you want to change to suit your ethical standards and dreams of a healthy Earth, just change it. It's your culture too and culture is a living thing, able to breathe and grow.

A truly happy soul, a wise person, is content with a normal and humble way of living. They see the circus of the commercial world with never-ending wants that consume mother nature. And so, this Christmas holiday, I'm having the time of my life just relaxing with my family. All the bling can do is mask problems you'd be better off fixing at home. So, avoid flight-shame and those polluting car-trips, and instead spark joy in the place that you live.
