Here we must hear with warm hearts and be curious regarding how to cure. It is time to ask what sight is. It is the moment to think of what eyes are, and how often we see with a sigh, a lazy soft rejecting regret rather than the love that sees a sea of emotions within. It is time to hear fear, to feel the sadness below anger, to know that coping needs co-regulation. It is time to see that acting out is an honest request for help from one in hell. It is time to see that love is boundless, eternal, that when we give we receive - to free ourselves from basic mathematical type-thinking. Love is a seed that grows, always giving more, as natural seeds do. It's time for those deeds to rain from hearing hearts, for they will be the green spring we all seek.

I am a strand of wheat in the vastness of the prairies. My colours are as muted as those around me, allowing me to hide in plain sight. With my primate brain I can only ever truly love the friends and family in my small circle, that's just the way we're wired. Yet I still hurt to hear of pain around the world, empathy does not allow me to switch off. I want to reach out, to heal, to bring light where there is dark. But I am a herd animal at heart - just a strand of wheat in the vastness of the prairies and however feeble or shallow my roots are, I need them.

The rabbit cowered in the corner of his pen, unlike his sibling he had never gotten used to the petting or being out in the daylight. All he saw was predators coming with their forward looking eyes and nowhere to hide. Perhaps for him it's like being in a jail cell with some alien beast coming at him, making some noise it thinks is soothing; but he can't tell that it isn't calling its monster mates to join in the kill. I try to imagine that creature out of "Alien" asking for a hug and poking a chocolate bar at me. Sure it's good food, but I hardly think I'd have an appetite right then.

"There's Neptune." My gaze followed her finger which was pointed towards the corner of the starless sky.
I raised a brow. "How can you tell? The sky is pitch black tonight. There's nothing in sight." Her frosty blue eyes then landed on me. "I just know."
At that moment, everything seemed to be at a state of tranquility. An unsolved puzzle felt completely flawless to me, as if I need not go out of my way to find all the other pieces. There was no one here but the two of us—spirited away by all that is cruel in the world.
And it was perfect.

It's the look that he gives me. Those pale blue eyes, probing into my soul, desperately wanting to see what's going on in there. He sits by my side, listening to my words. His compassion burns stronger than any pain that has corroded my heart. It's the look that he gives me, telling me, "I know something's not alright; and when you're ready, we can work it out together." It's the hand upon my shoulder, the realization that I'm not alone. And this time, he isn't here to judge like most. He is here to help.
