"Why get from A to B calmly when you can go mach one and arrive with your hair looking like a baby troll? We guarantee that while you can't speak because you can't breath, your soul will be tuned up to the max. Feeling alive never felt so good or so easy. Get on a hover board today and feel the exhilaration of total fear."

You could pick up a hover board anywhere in Dorn Town. They were kind the same as buses, a public transport thing, but more rollercoaster than relaxing ride. You took 'em if you wanted an adventure, some adrenaline as you travelled. They locked around your feet right up to your shins and took any three dimensional route to your target destination. With mandatory loud music piped into your ears at least three loop the loops were guaranteed per ride.

When hover boards became a real thing it took the world by surprise. They came out as a sort of extra to a smart phone. The board was a super thin folded card that expanded and hardened to form the platform and the phone contained the gps and navigation.

The nanotech balls are the new thing. You can't tell what they are until they assemble on voice command. This silver golf ball thing in my hand is a hover board, I simply have to give the command and its good to go.

Hover boards are built into the souls of shoes these days, we can literally walk or run over water. They detect the ground and switch modes automatically. They always work perfectly, well, almost always...

The hover boards came flexible in a cord shape. They wound around a leg, and arm or a waist as if they were a fashion item. Then when you wanted them they unfolded into that iconic wheel-less skate board shape. You could surf over land or water on them, so awesome.
