In the money-nexus the traditional work of women entitles neither the woman nor her dependants equitable access to food, housing or other survival needs.

If you have faith you believe in a soul created by the divine. Why would God attach a soul to a baby in the first trimester knowing that this is the prime time for a miscarriage? No loving creator would do such a thing.

So what is your problem with abortion? It is a medical procedure carried out to promote women's health and wellbeing. It is almost always done very early when the embryo is simply developing cells. To deny a woman her rights is an act of barbarism that makes her a second class citizen.

The soul is not created by sex or the fertilisation of an egg.

The opposite of patriarchy is chivalry, because the opposite of oppression is support. Thus the rights of women and men exist not in a balanced relationship with one another that take into account one another's needs and abilities - in this way we can see relationships and health as part of the same cultural ecosystem. When in balance we understand our rights and responsibilities in the context of both ourselves as individuals and of society. Because women are the child-bearing gender, they require a protective society, a protective culture. To give women the "exact same rights as men" with no extra protections is actually a form of cruelty. To give women the same opportunities as men, however, can be seen as a form of chivalry.

The women's rights movements would do well to talk more loudly of the specific needs of women from pregnancy through motherhood. We need to ensure that women aren't told that they are "having it all," when the reality is more that they are "doing it all," often with little rest or support. Motherhood is a job, one women need rest from, time off from and practical help with. To expect women to earn money at the same time as motherhood does harm to women and children; that said, to enable women to maintain their profession on whatever part-time basis feels healthy to them is essential for proper mental health in women and this improved maternal mental health is good for the entire family.

Women who are mothers need the right to not be expected to function the same as men. Many women find themselves financially disadvantaged after a lifetime of raising children instead of pursuing a career with monetary rewards. Additionally, single fathers and part-time fathers need the same consideration. One cannot be both "hunter" and "nurturer" at the same time and parenthood is a job that requires much focus, patience and brain power.

Men and women have much the same anatomy, yet those born with the potential to carry children gain the distinction of being "men with wom(b)," condensed to "women." Otherwise each are very similar aside from the muscular strength and bone structure advantages male hormones give from the womb onwards. As such, the brains of men and women are equal, each is fully human, an integral part of mankind. Perhaps when we talk of rights for women and rights for men, we would do well to keep in mind both our biological similarities and differences. Equal treatment, after all, makes sense only when we take each other's needs at various stages of life into account.

Women's rights are far from won. All over the world there is femicide and the abuse of the female form. Women's rights are often as strongly advocated for by men as women, and their role is essential in changing the lived experiences of their mothers, sisters and daughters. Women's rights are an issue for everyone and, as a woman, I welcome men to speak as loudly as they wish on these matters. After all, we seek a world of love with them as God and nature always intended.

We are all human first, then women or men. We all deserve human rights that can bring us good health. Biology does build us differently for the unique challenges of parenthood, should we make the choice to become mothers or fathers. Even a baby boy has stronger muscles than a baby girl. Yet evolution makes differences to provide strength to the group, and so all gender differences are strengths depending on circumstances and perspective. Our attributes are there for a reason. And so, as we speak of women's rights, let us remember that, so we can build a world that is equal yet wise, one that considers the needs of all taking both nature and the dreams of the individual into account. After all, we can only ever follow our divine path, using our full intellectual and physical potentials, when we have real liberty.

In the sphere of women's rights it appears that there comes an attack if every statement about them doesn't come with a conjoining statement relating to the transgender experience. We desperately need a separation of linguistics so that we can focus on real harm done in the world and not semantics. Campaigners for women's rights are, in the main, the kind of people that would lay down their lives for transgendered people to have equal rights and safety, but they need
the word "woman" to have the definition it traditionally did. Otherwise we can't defend women and girls without attacks from every direction. Otherwise women and girls will lack the ability to have a sense of who they are and to have female spaces they feel safe in. The human brain, after all, is born fairly blank and the effect of role models have a huge impact on development. Thus, it makes more sense to promote new words for trans-woman and trans-man, words that conjure feelings of self esteem and pride in who they are. Thus perhaps the time has come to have four recognised genders. Perhaps then we can get back to supporting each other instead of this damaging cycle of hate that keeps putting good people "in the dock."

To raise girls with the same high standards of education as boys, with the same opportunities for pursuit of developing the self, is the bedrock of any great society. To put half your population in a state of suffering and ignorance is the shifting sands of a sinking society. Thus the quality education of girls is key to the future of all society.

To grant women the same rights to a good standard of living as men whilst allowing them to spend the time they feel they need and want to being mothers is one of the greatest challenges of our age. The brain development and health of future generations depends on us getting this right.
